I think you may have misread the intentions of Mr Young here.

It kind of feels that some are actually willing Rafa to fail in order to strengthen their argument for bringing Mourinho in

I think you missed the irony of Mr Young's statement??

tactically not sure he is hugely different to rafa. ie very organised as a first priority and then take it from there . he is very pragmatic.

Even some of his stunts dont bother me. If you read some of shanks things he said you can imagine people saying he had no class.

but i dont want him here becasue of the total timewasting and all his players wait to be touched and go down lick a sack of spuds.

It is good that he takes pressure off the players and makes it about him but i think he goes to far on this. If he came here it would be maureen fc in his head.

Also when he went over to the inter fans last night he walked in the centre of the pitch to do it. He knows barcelona call him the interpreter. so he was clearly sticking one to the barca fans. Fair enough as he got through to the final but he was inciting the fans. so to stop it i would put the sprinklers on.

Imagine dot cotton doing that after a scum win at our place. would we all go oh he was just celebrating to his own fans? no we wouldnt.

if i wanted a winner fabio or guus for me. as they dont have the baggage of maureen

and Inter lost the tie. so its not that impressive is it. the first leg was more impressive for inter.
Inter didnt lose the tie, they lost the 2nd leg. They won the tie. Against the best side in the universe, so it is actually impressive cos nobody else looked like they could do it.

Mourinho's net spend at Inter is ~24m euros a season, added to a squad that had won Serie A 3 consecutive years before him arrived. Rafa is scratching around trying to get a team that hadn't been challenging to challenge, with a net spend of about half of that! (And a net profit on transfers over the last two years)
I'll give you that, but the gap between the two relative levels of net spend and between the two relative levels of success between the two teams, is nowhere near close to matching.

sorry it was a typo they lostthe leg

so its impressive to lose one nil to Barca? and have had a goal against dissalowed?

i might try this management lark.

The truth is that the first leg is what he should be applauded for not the second one.

Put other teams at the Nou Camp, with 10 men and see how long they hold out for, or how many they lose by. Most sides lose there by about 3 or 4, with 11 men.

of course its mareen so i should be wanking all over it.

he is a good manager yes but there is alot of baggage.

Capello is the man if you are serious about football.

i think everyone accepts he is a winner. which surely makes him a top class manager

                              The two problems are

                              1. the baggage he brings

                              2. the style of football. the very people that want rid of rafa will get the same pragmatic football with maureen.

but refusing to accept rafa is a top manager is ok.

What is this mythical baggage? Media attention? As if we havent had plenty of that anyway. A club like ours will always be a headline maker. I'd rather we made them as a successul club winning honours, than as a laughing stock failure.

Cant speak for anyone else on their desired style of play, but i want a winning one. How that's achieved is of little importance to me, in terms of 'entertaining football'. Winning trophies is plenty entertaining enough for me.

Rafa's a very good manager, who isnt succeeding at Liverpool.
