The only real suprises are SWP over Adam Johnson, and Upson/King over Dawson. It was a toss up between Baines and Warnock, but Baines homesick comments probably ruled him out. well if two left backs and carra get injured during the worldcup then if things get that bad surely milner could cover.. i just think midfield is where the most changes occur during games as well as between games so wouldnt it be better to have more options out wide where most changes will occur...96 Never ForgottenComment

even with barry the squad is slim! i just cant understand what Cappello is expecting to happen, surely he doesnt expect warnock and cole to get injured and carra and milner to both not be available to play left back... and he is wasting the opporunity... anway as it would normally stand if things to go to plan johnson probably wouldnt get a run and upson wont play either... i guess rather then speculating we may as well focus on what our favourite 11 would be and what formation96 Never ForgottenComment

When you're limited to a squad of 23 players you can only take two per position. If anybody else can cover then thats a bonus.
He seems to have gone more for those with experience - hence no Dawson, Johnson, Parker.Comment
