I think part of the problem with Green is he's used to being busy making lots of saves every game at West Ham, as they are constantly under pressure, but for a top team, like England, that doesn't happen. Most of the time you are just stood round doing nothing, so concentration on the few key moments in each game is key. I think Green just isn't used to this and his concentration slipped.
The problem is the other two keepers don't play for big teams either, so the same applies to them.
Of the three I would pick David James, again he has issues with concentration, but he at least does have that balance of skill and experience which Hart, for now, lacks.

Agreed. It's saying something when you have fewer shots on target than Emile Heskey (Heskey 1, Rooney 0).Originally posted by cream View PostI thought he was ****, no where to be seen in the first half.
Rooney has never done it at international level, so I find it inexplicable why so many pundits were saying he was a good bet to be either or both of top scorer in the tournament and player of the tournament.
He's now failed to score in his last 9 internationals and until recently went fully three years without scoring for England in a competitive match.
But the English media portray him as some kind of superman, which his international performances have never merited.
He didn't touch the ball until about 70 minutes and was quite poor throughout. Still, I fully expect the rampant over-hyping of this over-rated player to continue apace throughout the tournament

I think 25 goals in 61 caps suggests otherwise. As does 4 goals in 4 games in Euro 2004.Originally posted by Redspin View PostAgreed. It's saying something when you have fewer shots on target than Emile Heskey (Heskey 1, Rooney 0).
