This is England ffs. It was always a distinct possibility. If they weren't going to support whatever why pay the 1k?

Because they're morons. Which shows in their booing as a bit of extra confirmation

I don't blame him for that. I blame him for losing headers when he goes for them, despite him being bigger and stronger than the defenders he challenges. I blame him for having no control of the ball and no footballing intelligence. And walking round the pitch, instead of showing some urgency.

I'm not disputing the Rooney was awful as well, just that Heskey was worse.

I know what you're saying but LFC fans spent thousands going to Istanbul and didn't boo at half-time, and we were 3-0 down! It's the chance you take when spending a fortune following your team, whoever it might be. You're there to support, by the very definition of being a supporter. Save it for the pub after.

How would a change of formation fix that? We were not good enough at all. As usual, the media dive for the manager's throat.

They've got to change the shape now. Gerrard off Rooney, Joe Cole left, Lennon right.

Funny thing was....during the US game, I said to myself that Rooney looked completely out of breath at one stage, much more so than when he does be barrelling around for the scum. Put it down to the altitude for that game etc, but looking at his movement tonight, I wonder if there isn't something else there...........either way, England have much bigger problems than Rooney at the moment. Not one player in those two games, can look at himself in the mirror and say to himself, that he put in the necessary effort.

I think the players were far too casual coming into this match. During the interviews, after the US game it was all "we have 2 games to go" as if it was a done deal that we'd win them both.

Then again, that's always been a big problem for England. Arrogance.

Ok. I think there were about 4 or 5 England players who put in an equally abject performance, while the rest were just ****. Probably Heskey, Lampard, Rooney, Terry, Johnson. I am not going to argue with you about whether they were equally garbage, or slightly different levels of garbage. I think we pretty much agree. All garbage

I do agree with you but Istanbul we were outplayed for 45 minutes, what I saw this evening was nothing short of a disgrace. They couldn't string two passes together against an opposition that didn't really even put up much resistance.

I would never boo my team but I completely understand why they do as should Rooney although I guess it's hard for him to understand wasting your salary, holiday and sanity following a bunch of millionaires paid to play football yet can't pass to a team mate 2 feet away.

1 goal settles the team down and changes everything, Crouch gets goals, Heskey doesn''t its so simple it annoying.

Garbage isn't a word I use often, but funnily enough was the first word I said when the final whistle blew.

How would a change in formation change the fact that we wer out numbered in certain areas of the pitch? You serious?
