Adelaide United's midfield playmaker Marcos Flores is expected to be out of action for up to two weeks with a hamstring injury.

That'll do me as he's out of the match against us next week

Lucky *******s. The Heart result was a real shock! Also, you should have seen the wank advertising campaign before the derby on foxsports. Comparing the game to the Merseyside and Manchester derbies...

They've got no idea have they. What have we had, 180 or so derbies and this is melbournes 1st?

                Porter winning Adelaide fitness race
                Friday, 15 October 2010

HE’S been absent since week two of the 2010/11 Hyundai A-League campaign, but Sunday’s clash with Adelaide United should see the return of Gold Coast United striker Joel Porter, who is nearing full fitness after overcoming a troublesome hamstring injury.

It will be a welcome return for the influential Porter, who is yet to team up in Gold Coast colours with new striker Bruce Djite.

While it’s unlikely that both will start the match together due to Porter’s lack of match fitness, the former Socceroo is slated to play some part in Sunday’s clash with the league leaders and is relieved to have shaken off the injury that has soured his season.

“I’m feeling really good now. I trained all last week at about 80% and got through it all, so this week I’ve stepped it up another few notches and I’m on course to be involved this weekend,” Porter said.

“It’s been setback after setback to be honest and it’s been a very frustrating time, but I’m confident that it’s all behind me now and I’m really looking forward to getting out there again.

“The match on Sunday has all the ingredients of a great clash and I can see this one being the game of the round. Adelaide are top at the moment and we’re looking to keep the pressure on them. If we can get another win at home it will put us in a strong position and we can keep building from week to week.

“Adelaide might be down one or two players but they have some good players to come into the squad and they will be strong no matter what starting team they put out. Young Ramsey has done very well for them when he’s played, and he’s scored goals, so we know what to expect from them and what to look out for.”

Head up mate. They'll come good some time .

Just got home from watching our Youth league side win 2-1 against Newcastle. Good match considering how much rain we've had lately.

Why did they play up there?? Sydney's youth always do well but never break through properly other then Kofi Danning. All the youngsters are coming out of the QIS (Queensland insititute of sport? or is it the AIS)

I don't understand mate? Our Youth League side play all there home matches at Owen Pk Southport. They don't play before the main game like Bne Roar used to (not sure if they do anymore or not?) because QLD government want too much for them to play at Skilled Pk before the big game. And because not all A league sided have a youth team, the two draws aren't always the same.

Anyway. I just got home now from the big game. 0 all it finished but not too bad against the ladder leaders. We weren't at our best and to be fair Adelaide were short 2 players so a bit disappointed really, but we've extended our unbeaten run.

Yeah I watched a bit of it. I never get to watch much of the game on Sunday because my sister hates watching sports because she is stupid . When i heard Flores and Leckie were out I was rather pissed off because they would have been a different team with them... Wonder how Harv feels about it

Sydney first win of the season 3-0.

Cazarine had a great game I thought, if you streamed it SB, or if somehow sombody else tuned in. I predict we go on a Newcastlesque run in the second season and win the league!

No I missed the game mate as I went out last night. Perth are in real trouble at present but a good win for your guys away from home.

We were lucky to get a draw against the Heart IMO. Moss in goals was superb and saved our bacon.

Yeah. I really wanna watch more A-League but the only time I can is when nobody else is watching TV, and that is also the only time I can play ps3 so I tend to choose fifa/cod over watching other a-league games...
