    Aye, Matthaus was great.

    To be fair, Inter's German trio of Matthaus, Klinsmann and Brehme were all brilliant, but probably outshone by Milan Dutch lads. Klinsmann, along with Batistuta, remains up there as one of the best finishers/goalscorers i've ever had the priviledge to see. Born to score goals, those two. Just superb.

                  Wasn't Dasayev the great keeper of that Russia, sorry, Soviet Union (or was it CSS or something? ) team with Vasily Rats etc?

                                They were the USSR you 'dozy ****er' They then became CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States ) but they'll always be the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, i think)
