For a while, Tomas Rosicky looked like being the next Moller as he was almost an identical player to him and they played for the same team (Dortmund), but injuries ****ed him.
agree 100% he was incredible and a very underrated part of the succesful german team during the 90's!

since i'm from Slovenia i can write you few names from former Yugoslavia...Dragan Stojković, Dejan Savicevic, Ivica Osim, Josip Katalinski, Blaz Sliskovic, Vladimir Petrović, Robert Prosinecki
, Darko Pančev, Safet Sušić, Sergej Barbarez, Brane Oblak, Danilo Popivoda, Dragan Dzajic (even wikipedia says that he "is viewed as perhaps one of the most underrated players in European football, partly because he played in Yugoslavia.") .........

Redondo is a great call. A lot of kids I bet have never even heard of him.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostOkay so I texted my 12 year old football-obsessed cousin and said "tell me what you think of Ruud Gullit the footballer" and here is his reply:
"Well he's terrible on Sky Sports, wasn't he a good player?"
Which illustrates my point. Us 30 somethings know fine well how good Gullit was, but it hasn't been passed down. Kids know all about Maradona, Pele.....they don't all know about Gullit. And I'm sure he's never even heard of Redondo.I was in the process of multi quoting when I saw your commentOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI don't have the phone numbers of anyone aged between 15-18.
12 was the best I could do. Like I said he knows all about Maradona and Pele, we've talked about them before. I didn't say it proved anything, just illustrates the point.
When I was 12 I knew all about Pele. I had two books about him, plus a Pele skills book which taught you how to curl the ball, perform overhead kicks etc.
Fernandinho - what do you think of Ruud Gullit?
All i know of him is reading a Champions League book I have which shows him and the other 2 Dutch guys when Milan dominated. Redondo I have only heard of on these forums. I have no knowledge of them as footballers but.
