So really this is a thread highlighting that we're all getting older a new generation of fans/players have arrived!

My two favourite 'underrated' players were:

        Carlos Valderrama:

        Gheorghe Hagi:

        Was muß, das muß.

          Others:

          Paul McGrath:

Walked like he had athritis but had amazing speed and was near on unbeatable

          Des Walker:

          Les Ferdinand:

          Was muß, das muß.

Admitedly wasn't aware of just how good this fellow was until I saw a special on the footy channels. Alfredo di Stefano was absolutely amazing and doesn't frequently get mentioned amongst the Pele's and Puskas' of the world but should.
When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him

On the German note Hässler and Andreas Müller where also fantastic both of them!

Brian Laudrup is often forgot because of the focus Michael got, but he was a quality player - one of the best wingers/forwards in the 90's

Guardiola was brilliant for barca when a player, and is often forgotten for his fantastic role in the barca team - thought of it on the Redondo mention, which I have to agree with.

The defence of Baresi and Maldini is also often forgotten (as is most defenders), but they where brilliant in their prime!

Also Savicevic, Mijatovic, Boban, Suker, Batistuta, Stoichkov...

Paul Mc Grath. Acknowledge he was Irish (born in Ealing, grew up in Ireland mind you). Imperious for Ireland, but know he got the PFA PLayer of the Year in 1992 or something so maybe not underrated. Was simply outstanding when sober.

Andreas Müller or Moller - amazing player. Truly amazing - strength, speed, skill. This guy had it all. He was just as lethal and effective as players like Ronaldo/Messi. Ronaldo/messi take on players on the wings and cut in which easier. Moller used to beat players through the middle where it was more difficult on the wings. For a while, Tomas Rosicky looked like being the next Moller as he was almost an identical player to him and they played for the same team (Dortmund), but injuries ****ed him.
