It's slowly dawning on me that this whole charade has been dreamt up by Damento in order to get more funds from the Glaziers or force the Glaziers out.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostRooney will stay.
Damento, Rooney & his agent are all in on it with the promise of a big fat contract for Rooney if he's able to see the ruse through.

Totally destroy the player's rapport with the fans, make utter idiots of themselves and antagonise the whole squad, just to make a point to the Glazers? Doubtful.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostIt's slowly dawning on me that this whole charade has been dreamt up by Damento in order to get more funds from the Glaziers or force the Glaziers out.

And in any case, point or not, the Glazers cant afford to provide such funds.

Fixed it for youOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostWhilst i know where Rooney's coming from, it's hardly like United arent still going to be competitive for another couple of years yet.
It really shows you just how loyal Torres and Gerrard have been with us, considering how long their contracts are.
Really?

Brilliant response from Rooney, he has told the truth that they are a club in decline, I had this arguement with a Man U fan yesterday - we were the top spenders when we were winning everything, then Man U came along and outspent everyone, then Blackburn did the same for 1 year then Chelsea and now Man City will do the same.
Even he couldn't explain why Fergie hadn't tried to buy Sjneider/Ozil/A.Johnson/Villa and best of the bunch was he didn't think David Silva would get in their first XI.
To be fair they've had 20 years of success to deserve a few seasons of delusion.

I honestly can't decide whether Rooney is making one last bid to get on the massive gravy train in case the financial fair play rules mean it disappears or if he really is despairing at the way the team is going. To be honest I think both sides of the argument (Rooney and Fergie/United) will suffer, which seems about right if you ask me."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Dave, i think it is both.....one thing is for sure, he has shown he has no loyalty what so ever.
Although if I was him It would be piss me off knowing Djimi Troare has as many CL's wineers medal as him_____________________________________
