The PL is weaker than before.

The home grown rule means better foreign players is replaced by less good English ones.

The taxes means that it is a lot more difficult for the PL teams to sign the best players and it will be even more difficult with the new UEFA rule. Then taxes will be even more important.

The Spanish league will in a few years time be miles ahead of the PL. The Italian league is getting better and better again after they decided not to give a lot of free kicks and because of that the games flow a lot better.

The Italian referees is simply top class now.

The German league will soon also be better than the PL because they develop a lot more good young players and that will be key in two three years time.

I think that in five years time the PL will be the fourth best league in Europe after Spain, Germany and Italy.

      No...it isnt.
Who said it was tho? All that one or two of us are saying, is that it's good to see the goals flying in - a record in the premier league.

Of course good defending is an important part of football, no-one's denying that but at the same time most football fans don't watch MOTD and the likes, they watch it to see good football and plenty of goals. It's more entertaining.

It's pretty pathetic that if you don't agree with what you say, then you're Sky Sports esque, like wtf are you on about?

Are we going to start this again M? You go out, get pissed, and then come on here being an idiot? And then PMing me apologies?

I didnt say YOU had said the PL was the best in the world, i'm referring to the pathetic media.

You said i was Sky Sports esque which is ****ing horse****.

No, i said that the "more goals the better" theory is Sky Sports-esque. And it is.

In reality though, you probably are a little SS-esque for a different reason, given that you've probably grown up watching football during the sky generation.

Fair enough that might be the case but i can honestly say i don't take what they say on board.

Actually think most of them talk utter ****e tbh especially the likes of Merson and Le Tiss.

By the standards of Sky Sports and Soccer Saturday, Le Tissier isnt as bad as some. Merson's a pure clown and Charlie Nicholas is cringeworthy.

Merson's hilarious, good comedy value but he doesn't take himself too seriously which i like.

To be honest, i think he want past the point of being funny, a long time ago.

Kamara's funny. With merson, i just look at him in disdain, and with difficulty in believing that such a buffoon can remain in permanent employment. I dont find him remotely funny, i just think he's an embarrassment.

One thing all those record days have in common is fat sams team playing at old trafford.

I agree about the taxes putting some overseas players off (I've heard it mentioned a number of times). But I don't see the new rule homegrown rule is having any effect on the quality of the league because it has affected very few teams.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Not sure of the exact reason but the last two seasons defending in the PL has been on the slide. The composition of most sides has changed very little. A few loses for ourselves and United of players genuinely at their peak - mostly creative players is, I'm fairly certain, not the reason. All squads met the homegrown regulation last season and there was little noticable change between the season before an that one.

Horrendous goal to concede. They're handing a **** United team the title.
