Mikel is a bit rubbish in my opinion. I'm not sure why a series of top managers have had faith in him being the defensive midfielder. He's decent in some aspects of the game but the way he is consistently played almost as an auxiliary CB really doesn't suit him.Originally posted by McDermotX View PostMore quality Premier League defending............Alex, Cech (and Mikel for that matter) need to look at themsleves"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Sometimes just being incredibly average is enough to be considered rubbish. I struggle to see any truly positive aspects of his game at all.......certainly no more so than any other average midfielders plying their trade in the top division.Originally posted by dww View PostMikel is a bit rubbish in my opinion. But I certainly agree with your comment around his suitability in that DM role............only thing I can see is that some managers might consider him mobile enough in that position.......all I see is games completely passing him by when Chelsea aren't on top form and retaining position."I will make the boys feel your support"

Completely agree with that, seems to be getting better by the week as a player.Originally posted by Imustbreakyou View PostI'd ****ing love Andy Carroll at liverpool. I don't care if he's a bit of a head the ball & gives the odd person a slap. He's winning absolutely everything in the air again today, and giving Alex a right run a round.
And to an extent, I couldn't really care what the players do off the pitch. He'd be a good signing.

They've got Essien, Lampard, Terry and Benayoun out but it shows their squad isn't as strong as it once was, on paper at least.Originally posted by Assassin View Postthe chavs bench

19. Paulo Ferreira
23. Daniel Sturridge
38. Patrick Van Aanholt
43. Jeffrey Bruma
44. Gael Kakuta
46. Joshua McEachran

To be fair to them they've tried to develop youngsters and not spend tens of millions every transfer window like they did initially under Abramovich. They might not be 'names' yet but pretty much all of those youngsters are very highly rated.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

If both us and Spurs score this weekend it will be the first weekend in Premiership history where every Premiership team has scored on the same weekend.
Chances of us being the team that prevents it?The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
