Inter Milan have officially unveiled Andrea Ranocchia after he completed his move from Genoa.

Inter have paid €12.5million (£10.7m) for the 22-year-old, who they already owned half of after signing 50 per cent of his rights last summer.

Ranocchia has now penned a four-and-a-half year deal at the San Siro.

Genoa had released the player a week early to allow him to train with his new team-mates.

Ranocchia is now in line to make his Inter debut against Napoli on Thursday.

Sampdoria have confirmed the signing of Federico Macheda on-loan from Manchester United for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old had been wanted by several clubs in the English Premier League after Sir Alex Ferguson had made it known that the player would be available.

Sampdoria have been in need of a striker since Antonio Cassano was allowed to join AC Milan following his disagreement with club president Riccardo Garrone.

However, it is believed that it was the chance of fighting for an immediate place in tandem with Giampaolo Pazzini that swayed the decision for the young Italian.

"I am very happy that Macheda has chosen Sampdoria and I think it's the same for the fans," said Garrone.

"Macheda has easily filled the void left by Cassano, he will definitely do well.

"In these five months we will try to treat him well. With him here, the enthusiasm has increased tenfold."

        'jet-heeled'

Skysports.com understands Liverpool are prepared to loan out highly-rated striker Nathan Eccleston during this month's transfer window.

Eccleston is regarded as one of the most promising players at Anfield and has made seven appearances in the first-team this season.

The 20-year-old, who enjoyed a loan spell at Huddersfield last season, will be allowed to go out on loan again in order to increase his first-team experience and get some action under his belt.

Reds boss Roy Hodgson is happy to loan out Eccleston in January in order to further his education as he is regarded as one for the future at Anfield.

The news has alerted a number of clubs in the Premier League and Championship to Ecclestone's possible availability this month.

West Brom and Wigan are both thought to be interested in the jet-heeled forward along with Championship pair Queens Park Rangers and Burnley.

Liverpool will now decide what is the best option for Ecclestone so that he can get some valuable first-team action in the second half of the season

3 x Eccleston and 2 x Ecclestone in one article. Was this article written by two people instead of one?
          One tit for another.

Interesting that Inter wont sign any players for Rafa then 5 minutes after he leaves they've splashed out the best part of £11m on one.

FRANK DE BOER LANDS AJAX JOB

Ere Division Winner 10/11 Win Outright: Ajax 15/8

Frank de Boer has been appointed manager of Ajax until the summer of 2014 following Martin Jol's departure last month.

The 40-year-old, an assistant to Holland coach Bert van Marwijk, took charge of Ajax on a temporary basis after Jol's exit.

De Boer has kept Ajax in contention for the Eredivisie title since taking the helm, with the Dutch giants currently in fourth.

The former Holland international played 11 seasons in the Ajax first-team between 1988 and 1998, as well as spending time at Rangers, Barcelona and Galatasaray.

Ajax have also appointed Hennie Spijkerman, who was formerly technical director at South African club Ajax Cape Town, as assistant manager.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Nathan's loan move to make space for new striker(s) but I would personally have preferred to have seen him given more opportunities.
