The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved. -
Doesnt feel that he has anything to prove, thinks that his 36 years (
), if 'anyone cares to study it' will speak for itself
Asked if he was unfairly treated, he says he's not prepared to say any more about it, and accuses the reporter of being more interested in Liverpool than West Bromwich, while he (roy) is more interested in West Brom than in Liverpool.
Then asked if he might need to change his style, from that he used at Liverool, to the one he'll use at West Brom. He almost snarls back "What change of style will be required there?"
Says it all. He thinks you can use the same style and methods to manage Liverpool, as he would at West Brom.
****ing tool.Comment

That was funny. He did it while he was here all the time. He's so ****ing prickly and defensive. How and why is he described as being a such a warm bloke all the time?! He's a bloody nightmare

Thanks very much for beingComment

"Just thinking of the calibre of players you had at Liverpool, compared to those at West Brom - are you going to have to change your management style at all?"
Hodgson: "Not at all, the players at Liverpool were very good, they responded very well to what we tried to do. The practices i've used with national teams, with Fulham and then with Liverpool, everyone responded well to that and i'm sure the West Brom players will too"
I was just waiting for him to say that he saw no reason to change the methods that translated so well from Halmstad, to Orebro, to Neuchâtel Xamax, to Liverpool....etc etc

Felt that the reporter was really dropping his arm into the lion's den, with that one
The bloke's a ****ing arse, all this 'nice guy stuff' is bull****. Anyone can be nice when things are going well. When things went wrong, and people 'dared' question his methods and suggest that they werent great (having taken Liverpool into the bottom three FFS), he gets all prickly and nasty.
One thing his spell at Liverpool has done, is shown him up for what he is. And 'cuddly uncle roy', he is not.Comment
