Pienaar will just be the new Kranjcar at Spurs IMO. Decent player but not good enough for a side wanting to challenge at the top end. Gonna be sub 8 times out of 10, surely.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Think Kranjcar was probably worth a punt for the pittance they paid for him, but £17m Bentley was a joke. Another example of double standards. Rafa got crucified for paying the same for Aquilani, yet good old 'Arry gets away with not even a murmur about Bentley.

To be fair, Redknapp didn't sign Bentley. Juande Ramos did.

And also, Krancar was vital in us finishing 4th last season. Don't forget Bale only really came good towards the end of last/this season.

Krancar was one of our main men before this season, we got him for a pittance too.

He's your new sporting director right?!

To be fair though, he did make some pretty decent signings for us, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale in particular.

Not worked out for Spurs though

Even though it may not have been Harry who signed Bentley, the club themselves did, and he was one of many expensive signings, which contribute to an absolute fortune that Spurs have spent, to get themselves into the top 4. The press hardly ever mention this. I believe Spurs are the PL's highest net spenders, on average and per season, other than Man City, for the last 4 years. Not a word of this in the press though.

Harry Redknapp must kiss pictures of Hicks every night. Their raping of LFC was the biggest weapon in Harry's arsenal, when it came to taking that 4th CL place from us.

You're a keen raiser of the 'money spurs spent' point... Yes we have spent a fortune, but also made a fortune back on quality players we sold. You've got to look at both sides of the coin when using the phrase 'net money spent'.

True, he's a good wheeler and dealer.
                          Are we winning?

Yes and i AM looking at both sides of the coin. And as of August 2010, based on an average NET SPEND figure for the past 4 years, only Man City had a higher figure than Spurs.

                            NET SPENDING 2006-2010
                            Average Per Season

                            Man City - £65.8m
                            SPURS - £16.5m
                            Aston Villa - £16.5m
                            Sunderland - £13.6m
                            Liverpool - £9.4m
                            Chelsea - £2.6m
                            Man Utd - £0.6m
                            Arsenal - £6m PROFIT

It's kind of dwarfed by Citeh's though... Considering we're actually in the champs league as it stands and their not.

If it costs £16.5m to get into the champs league then so be it, assuming we can keep it up and stay there for at least a couple more years, then it will easily make that back and I consider it pretty impressive if you compare to City and Chelsea. The latter obviously not spending that much in recent years, but they certainly did to get the standing they have now.

Although stadium plans may **** our figures up completely, albeit it in the short term.
