Absolutely, MarshOriginally posted by Marsh View Posti dont see NESV hiring him. They are looking at the long term and he isnt a long term solution.
i dont see there being a fit between him and them tbh. he is a very good manager but i dont think he will be here.
one difference between them and the cowboys we had before NESV is that their approch is to build for the long-term future, rather than just hire a group of expensive gunslingers in order to achieve in the short-term (which to me is Mourinho's approach).
As much as I am in doubt, whether Kenny really will be a long term solution, I am certain he fits their bill much better in that respect and if we get a new manager for next season, that person will be a lot like him in his approach to the development of the team.
And I haven't mentioned Jose's negative style of football yet.

I was speaking to a mate last night who's a bluenose and he asked me about Dalglish, we chatted about him for a bit and I was talking about Boas being someone I'd be interested in in summer as I was saying that I suspected the owners wanted Dalglish in to stabilise and unify the club, at the end he said that he hoped Dalglish is only there till the end of the season as he reckons that he has the capacity and ability to work wonders and turn us back into champions.
If a bluenose is thinking that way then how many other fans are thinking the same?
BTW my mate's 45 so not someone who thinks football was invented by sky

However you want to look at it KK could keep the job as long as Wenger on reputation alone. Which in this climate is no bad thing at all.Originally posted by redstaralex View PostI was speaking to a mate last night who's a bluenose and he asked me about Dalglish, we chatted about him for a bit and I was talking about Boas being someone I'd be interested in in summer as I was saying that I suspected the owners wanted Dalglish in to stabilise and unify the club, at the end he said that he hoped Dalglish is only there till the end of the season as he reckons that he has the capacity and ability to work wonders and turn us back into champions.

But at the back of my head is the nagging realisation that football has become a science. As has most sport.

Fixed that for you.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostAnd he is as close as a guaranteed success as you can have in football, as long as you have a Middle Eastern Swiss bank account to spank on new players. Then don't mind him pissing off when someone else has money to spend.

Mourinho will NOT come to Liverpool as he only goes to clubs with HUGE transfer kitties. He's throwing his toys @ Real because they haven't given him the crazy money he wants! Every team he's managed with the exception of Porto cost fortunes & even Porto was expensive in Portuguese terms...Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

He's the best coach in the world. And he is as close as a guaranteed success as you can have in football.
long term might be out the question but short term he would win us the league at least once IMO and makes us a real threat again . . . . . . . . although the king is still my first choice long term.
to be fair to him, at chelsea he had to spend big as at the time it was abramovich coming to power and other teams made chelsea pay over the odds.Originally posted by Nick77 View PostMourinho will NOT come to Liverpool as he only goes to clubs with HUGE transfer kitties. he has thrown his toys at madrid because he feels the heirachy are treating players and staff differently and which is causing divides at the club ad Jose is probably the biggest and best man manager around who tries to create harmony and family orientated atmospheres at clubs ( something LFC is all about and would suit him ) which is rightfully pissing him off.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

I think it will be interesting to see what happens to Mourinho when the financial fair play rules come in. While he is undoubtedly a talented manager, he has very often been well supported by a large transfer budget. And while I don't think you can have a poor manager and just throw money at a side to be successful, a large transfer budget can make a good manager look a great manager. To be honest I am not sure which catagory Mourinho falls into: good made to look great, or truely great. I think the financial fair play could provide me with an answer (depending on where he is when the rules come in).The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

So were you as sympathetic to Rafa when he was fighting to save the club when it was obvious to him that we were rapidly imploding, or did you accuse him of causing trouble ‘like he did at Valencia? (Genuine question, not an accusation)Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Post

The way he acted yesterday was simply laughable. If I was a Real Madrid fan then I would be furious how he coached the team against Mallorca.
Resting key players just to prove a point like, look this is our back up players, look what happens when I will be forced to use them. It was almost like he had told his players not to score in the first half. Several players had great chances to finish but instead passed the ball to a player in a much worse position. Arbeloa four five yards from goal, passed the ball backwards 10 yards for example.
Resting Xabi, Lass and Özil at the same time was laughable.
Mourinho isn't guaranteed success. If he don't win the league and get knocked out of the CL in the last 16 or the quarterfinals then he should be sacked in the same way Pellegrini was sacked. The reason, failed to deliver.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a
