What exactly was wrong with his performance today?? I've been very critical of him in the past, but I thought he was good today - he played as a RCB, what are people expecting of him offensively then? Don't think anyone got past him the entire game, he intercepted a ****load of Blackburn's counter passes (although they were going ****in nowhere, how **** were they??) and he did well whenever we played out of defense.

Not our worst player today, but thought he was ponderous on the ball and invites pressure on the defence, especially playing against a high pressing work horse team like Blackburn.

Defensive positioning is just not there & Toure was very busy covering for him today. Balied him out on a few occasions.

Glen was OK today, nothing more or less really but for a player who's on 100k a week he doesn't contribute anywhere near enough and hasn't done for quite a while.

I don't get the hate for his performance today - he was alright and nothing special, but nothing terrible either.

He's the past. We've more or less one game a week from now on, I'd like to see our best 11 play all of them, he shouldn't be getting any further minutes on the pitch unless injuries take over. I'd even play Lovren there with Skrtel and Sakho beside him if we need Can in the middle.

I think reads the game better from the back. Then moves into midfield when the opponents tire. He looks iffy when starting in midfield.

We need better & he needs a new club to try get back his form of a few years ago. Also we get get his massive wages off our books, which he really hasn't been justifying for a long time.

I think people are under estimating how important passing has become for at least two of our central defenders. In that regard Johnson is a real asset in our current formation (and a useful option on either flank id we switch to a back 4). He's clearly not the long term future but he is a useful squad man. If he would accept a reduced deal going forward I would like him to stay.
