He's not as bad as most make out and he'd be a decent 'plan B' which Brendan hasn't had this season... In some games, he'd certainly be more suited to 'plan A' against teams like Stoke where he'd be in fight with the centre backs from the first minute...

If he can train hard, work hard and get on the end of some crosses next season, I think he'd give defenders a lot to think about in some games...

We've already taken the £35m hit, no point continuing with £90,000 weekly hits. Anything we get back will be a bonus really, about £5m if we're lucky.

If we get £10-15M for a player who we don't want and won't use "properly" then we can buy someone who can fit and will play.

It's in everyone's best interests if he moves on. Which he will.
