I was laughing when Aston Villa signed Bent for 24 mio, not laughing anymore. Why Carroll? For that money, we could have signed much better players than one who has only played 1/2 season in the top flight and whose behaviour is questionable for a top player.

Still reeling from yesterday and the fact that this fee was sanctioned, eight most expensive signing ever for a player with less European experience than N'gog. Massive risk and one I'm not sure will come off.

I can understand Chelsea's massive bid for Torres, he could be catalyst for the European cup and there is a risk that both Spurs and City could steal their Champions' league spot and all the riches that entails.
