There's been a few. I'm still sure that Shelvey won't even be crossing Capello's mind when the next squad is announced. He'd need to be showing that sort of form for us in the premiership for that to happen. Not a chance he's going to get called up after a few decent games in that league.
Surely the point is, he could become a fantastic player and the only way for England to make sure they have the option to use him in the future, is to cap him now, and therefore keep him out of Scotland's hands.
if I was in shelveys shoes I would opt for scotland purely because he would be involved with the full scottish national team from a very young age.
hes got no chance of playing regularly for england so scotland could offer potentially eighty caps and he would improve immesurably by playing international football.
plus kenny would keep a close eye on him cos he would be a jock.

Really? Jonjo clearly has plenty of self-confidence and would fancy his chances to make either team. The lad is clearly English and stands a much better chance of playing in a World Cup if he opts for England. No offence to any jocks on here, but choosing England is a no-brainer.
Good move. I'm looking forward to seeing him back after he's built up some confidence, though I'm not sure if it's possible to successfully pair him with Adam in the middle.

I would love it if this happened, being Scottish myself. Don't see why he would be interested though when he could be good enough for England. Unless he becomes fantastic he would get more games for Scotland though.
