Looks well suited to the set up. I think he'll turn into a cracking player over the next couple of years. He's got enough skill and strength, and he doesn't over complicate things. If he keeps bulking up, he could make an excellent holding player.

He has a lot of things which cannot be coached - poise, comfortable with the ball, vision, and most importantly confidence and self belief. I think the attributed which separates him from being a top quality midfielder will come with experience, good coaching, and hardwork.

Normally midfielders with his style of play take their time to mature. So we will need to be patient with him.

He is exactly the profile of signings which we should be trying to make to strengthen our squad.

Him and Suso were at fault for the goal, more so Shelvey. Brendan did not look pleased the opposing midfielder went through our midfield so easily and got that shot off. Wilson was at fault too of course for not closing down earlier. Pre-season cobwebs I guess but defensively he is a little suspect.

Saying that Shelvey is looking a player once he can iron out the chinks.

Been impressed with him pre season. His tackling has been a bit hit and miss, but his vision, movement and work rate have been very good.

I love his relaxed style of passing as well, just looks fluid whether he hits a 10 yard or 50 yard pass
