I love his relaxed style of passing as well, just looks fluid whether he hits a 10 yard or 50 yard pass
He actually reminds me a lot of Stevie G during his early years. He was like a red card waiting to happen a lot of the time too.
Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the goal of arriving safely in a prettily preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways in a shower of gravel and party shards, thoroughly used, utterly exhausted, and loudly proclaiming: "F*** ME, that was BRILLIANT!"

Jonjo modelled his game on Gerrard's and its starting to show now. Doesnt have the drive that Gerrard has, but i think he'll be technically better in a few years.

      He's certainly an exciting prospect

Has improved massively and seems bit more mobile too which was a concern when he first arrived. Still bit raw but has talent, hope he materialises.

Much more improved player but I am still not sure if he'll be given a real chance this year.

My feeling is Rodgers will send him on a loan to get him more first team football.

          He is still only 20.

Yeah, it would be good for him to go and get red cards for another side for a year, get it out of his system.

If he can cut those silly challenges out and get a bit fitter then he'll be an asset. As Mostar pointed out above, the lad is only 20.

              I love his swagger.

Hopefully some sort of short term loan untill January. Wasn't he meant to be part of the Allen deal, or was that just speculation?

I think we wanted to pay less and send Shelvey on loan, but Swansea weren't keen. Agree though, that loan to Blackpool last season done him a world of good, another short-term loan wouldn't be a bad idea.

personally i think it might be a good thing for him to get regular minutes for a prem league team. Bring him on leaps and bounds as he is not going to get alot of first team action with us. Sure if we get injuries at CM we can just bring him back, it's win win IMO.

It would be madness to loan out Banjo now.

The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

tambourine can die as far as i'm concerned, but we can't get anyone interested in a player like that for anything more than a pound and a dirty joke uttered under the breath.

Banjo Shelvey may be bald but he's a good player. And so is Tam Borini except he's got hair too.
