Surely getting a starting position in our last two matches indicates he's very much in BR's first team plans? Seems to me that he's ahead of Adam, Henderson and Spearing in the pecking order and appears to be our 4th choice midfielder.

Think sending him on loan would be a poor decision. At least wait and see how Gerrard and Lucas cope after their injuries and how Allen settles. If he isn't getting as much game time as we would like, send him on loan at Christmas.

No issues with that. If we're playing three in midfield this season then Allen, Lucas, Gerrard, Shelvey and Sahin would be a cracking selection to choose from.

if anything we should send henderson out on loan and keep shelvey. jonjo fits rodgers style better, is an all round bigger threat and hasnt had his confidence torn to shreads. hendo needs to go somewhere less high profile and regain the form that made us spunk 13 mill to buy him.

if anything we should send henderson out on loan and keep shelvey. jonjo fits rodgers style better, is an all round bigger threat and hasnt had his confidence torn to shreads. hendo needs to go somewhere less high profile and regain the form that made us spunk 13 mill to buy him.

this very much depends on who we might bring in on loan. shelvey is a stronger lad and will a good back up or sub to keep the pressure on late in a game.
hendo can benefit greatly from more game time, but that isnt going to happen at Anfield just yet.
