For nights like tonight, there will always be games for players like Henderson.

I hope not as Meireles was average

Hendo could fetch decent money next summer, we need to milk the living **** out of the whole young and English tag & fool someone into paying decent money for him

Made up for him tonight, its been coming! He's came close a few times over the past month.

I hope the only thing he took from Charlie Adam's game was the way he goes past a player, does it very similar. Fakes one way and sweeps the ball around, looks effortless.

this will be the best we could hope for. he had some good little touches, and runs, but also looked poo other times. just not good enough.

Jonjo. looking like he is getting there. he has often looked to play to gerrard at every opportunity, now he is ready to take the ball himself and allow stevie to run off the ball for him.

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Stevie's form has been a bit iffy of late but at least class is permanent. I think we can forgive him though as he's still in credit. Jonjo.....there's definite talent there but I don't think he'll reach the same heights as Stevie because he doesn't seem as much of a natural athlete.

He was better than average. He is a Portugese international after all. With Jonjo only 20yrs old it is still anyone's guess how far he can develop, If he reaches at least Meireles level then he'll have a good career.

been saying since he joined that i just don't get what he does. So frustrating watching him, he needs to do so much more in games. And although he is neat and tidy he just doesn't do enough, never dictates or stamps his authority on games.

What makes me laugh is he runs around shouting, pointing and giving it large, but when it comes to game time and backing it up ......99% of the game he is non existent or just playing it safe. Anyways IMO Shelvey is streets ahead of him so up to us whether we want a player we paid massive money for warming the bench?

Meireles is a decent player at best IMO, definitely not suited to the premier league though as evidence has proved, think Jonjo has but more bite about him & is more progressive.

He is young and still bit raw but he has improved no end and long may it continue.

What does "giving it large" mean?
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

When a person, or persons, act hard / cool

That Henderson thinks he's so hard and cool!!! That's what i should have said

And the fact that Gerrard was one of the best midfielders in the world. Shelvey is coming on loads and developing very nicely but lets not get ahead of ourselves It would be just good to have a top class midfielder he has a long way to go to be even discussing if he can get anywhere near Gerrards level,

                              Thanks for the explanation.

DannyP, do you often find yourself using expressions in your posts that you've never used before? It really wouldn't surprise me. Your posting style is, erm, quite distinctive.
