Sad to say it but they (and Downing) symbolise the frustration of the post Rafa years for me. I will not be sad to see the back of them."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Really, what do you expect? World class players in every position? Singling them out seems unfair, especially on the two younger ones.
Like you say though, they symbolise something to some of our fans. A convenient target..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I expect better Neil. For £35m I expect a whole load better. Is that okay with you?Originally posted by Neil Young View PostReally, what do you expect? World class players in every position? Singling them out seems unfair, especially on the two younger ones.

I'm not having a go at you at all and obviously you can think what you like about their performances overall.
But you did say they symbolise something to you and that almost inevitably means they're likely to attract your ire (and your fire), even when it's not fully merited. And I don't think criticism for yesterday was really justified, at least for Henderson and Downing. Is that ok with you?

Poxy thing won't embed
MrMedit - yeah, it will
Click your link then look at the url in the address bar. See the problem? If you had posted that url instead, without the "&feature..." bit on the end, it would have worked fine. Anyway....

I started the Jonjo, Jon Jon Jonjo, Jon Jon Jonjo Shelvey song at the game yesterday when he came on only it wasn't Shelvey that came on it was Skrtel.
There were about 6 of us all singing it too until the Irish lad next to me told me it wasn't even him.
