    Same here.

One year extension seems very reasonable given the kind of season he had (9goals and 5 assists is the best total for all LFC players this season) but it also takes into the consideration his age.

I really think the style of football we're now playing has really helped Dirk, he's been excellent these past couple of months and happy to see he's been rewarded with a new contract.

Also good in terms of long term established player showing commitment to us hopefully we'll see other do the same (thinking about Pepe mainly!)

I think the way Suarez plays has helped Kuyt kick on and get his best form back. Hopefully that continues.

Delighted he's now overtaken Torres as our top league goalscorer

I think he's more of a normal fit for Suarez. We played much better when they were paired upfront yesterday, had lots more movement. Carroll, from what he's shown to date, doesn't have much movement in him and we keep lumping balls at him.
              Are we winning?

The problems is the team haven't adjusted to him and Suarez yet. It's much the same problem for Fernando at Chelsea.

The chelsea players seem to think that Fernando can do the job of Drogba, as a target man. He is not built for balls into his chest so he can lay it off to the midfielders making forward runs. He is instead a player who plays on the last man and looks to get in on goal himself. He wants balls on the ground played to him so he can attack the goal or get a single defender isolated.

Yesterday I saw balls played in behind Arsenal for Suarez and Carroll to chase, when they haven't got it in them. Suarez is someone who can take on an isolated defender, or someone who can link play with his clever passing. He can also finish a move off from anywhere around the box.

Whilst Carroll thrives on good service in the air. Of his 11 league goals for Newcastle, 9 arrived from good service out wide from Joey Barton. Put a good cross in and Carroll will attack it and pose problems. Chuck it in at chest height and he will lay it off to a near by player, if they read it and know what he can do.

Punt it in the air from the back and he'll win it in the air, but has no control on his flick ons. And this is where we are going wrong. For me he has a lot to learn in that regards. But the simple answer is for us to limit the times we do this. Instead make crosses to him from within 35 yards of the opposition goal. Do that and he'll either get a header at goal or knock it down in the box and cause problems.

All in all, had Chelsea bought Carroll they'd still be in the title race for me (well, had he been fit), whilst we would have caused teams greater problems had Torres stayed for the rest of the season, had his head been right. Pre season would have been the right time for Torres to move on, as we could ahve adjusted our style as could have Chelsea, with minimum disruption.

Should be our main penalty taker ahead of Gerrard. For some reason all the neutrals in the bar I was in thought he'd miss yesterday, but I warned them there was no chance. Abslute legend.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Is that right? Often wondered what his Dutch record was like but assumed because it was never mentioned that he'd missed at least one.

Dunno. Just saw someone say it on Twitter last night.

                            I'm going with it anyway
