Thanjk you.

He can lead the line in the sense that he'll never stop running or working. He wont add quality though, or much in the way of goal threat/creativity. Unless he's on the end of a good pass or cross, and is only required to finish, then he doesnt look like scoring goals.
The season up until January was a write off. Fresh slates for everyone when Kenny arrived and since then he's been one of our top, most dependable players. Top man Dirky
Ask him to create something on his own and he'll struggle. Ask him to perform well in a team that is not performing and he can't.
Reason being that Dirks game is all about intelligence and link up play. If others aren't at the reasons, there is no one for Dirk to bouce off. Put simply, he is a completely different player since we signed Luis Suarez. We are seeing the Kuyt of 08/09 who so easily linked with Gerrard and Torres.
And I tell you what, going on what I've seen so far since Suarez has come in, Dirk and Luis looks a better partnership than Luis and Andy. I guess Andy could point to injuries though, and the fact he doesn't speak the same lingo as Luis.
i have always appreciated dirks effort and the benefits that has for the team.
i have to admit i always thought if we wanted to win the league we probably need better.
however when we had riera (nothing special but gave us width and really helped the shape of the team) we didnt really suffer because we had dirk.
also he is hardly ever injured and he can score. With good players around him maybe i was wrong.
think he is a keeper as he can play in a couple of positions and he has a big game knack of scoring.
i think thts me admitting i was wrong, sort of
Mate, I was wrong as well. Many on this site have been wrong. I think as long as we get a dazzling winger on the left we will work out fine, especially if Glen can kick on at RB next season.
I see our formation under Kenny as flexible, and is one that allows Dirk to become a third striker when he starts out wide. Carroll stays as point, Suarez drops in behind and over to the left on occasion, Kuyt pushes up on the right. The LW pushes up on the left and Glen bombs forward on the right to add balance.
