dirk has been a tremendous player for us during the benitez era. he did so many great things for this club and he deserves more than some of the comments on here. kenny has changed the system and it doesnt suit kuyt but theres nothing to say about him as a player.

if his time is up at anfield so be it but he has served us with the perfect attitude and application and should be remembered as a player of distinction.

    Totally agree fellas

Not only that, but the amounts of crucial goals he scored, many of them in the big games and in the CL, to get us out of the **** are not to be forgotten. Also his penalties (bar one earlier this season ) were brilliant, I remember 87th minute kind of penalties, never shied away from the responsibility and one you could really count on. His attitude, how he's basically never injured and how you never hear him complain and all the outstanding off the field stuff he's involved in. And doesn't he give 40% of his wages away to his own charity? Sure I read something similar. He's a true professional and I'll be sad to see him go when he does go.

Aye that makes sense, just had his best season ever for us as well as starring fo Holland, so lets get rid. Let's ditch Suarez this summer too then...

Also never ever call him a LFC legend, its a term used far too loosely over the past decade.

His level of experience is of tremendous value to our current squad and if used sporadically, as he is, he can still be very useful.

He's not used often and when he does play, he looks shot. I'd rather see him back in Holland where he may get another 2/3 decent season than see him suffer here. The pace at which we are moving forward, it's no surprise the likes of Kuyt and Carra are getting left behind.

Personally, once Suarez is out I think Kuyt will step up to the plate once again and prove all his doubters wrong. I remember people saying he was finished this time last year and again they were made to look like fools.

I like the guy but hes been a consistently average player during his time here. He may have had some good games but hes played enough to make that a given! I cant and wont criticise his workrate/attitude etc but surely those things should be a given anyway.

I like Dirk but if & when he goes I wont be overly sad.

                Complete joke.

Voted player of the season by fans in his first year, constantly praised by all his team mates, a revelation out wide when we switched to 4231 and one of the most productive wide players ever in the PL.

I'll not even go into the 'workrate' argument as you clearly have no clue.

Kuyt wouldn't kick up a fuss in the press like some players but you could visibly see his annoyance, probably more from embarrasment than anything I'd imagine seen as he's been a mainstay in our team down the years.

Feel sorry for him in a way because he is a big part of our team he's such a consistent performer. He may not be the most skiful but he has a lot to his game so I will be sad when he does leave.

I can't help but think his loss will be on a similar to level to when Alonso left. People took him for granted while he was here and once he left most of us were distraught, only then did we realise how important he was.

I fear losing Kuyt may have the same effect.
I like Dirk but him and Xabi are on completely different levels in terms of talent and ability.

It strikes me as odd that we are quick to rate players of other clubs as 'World Class' when we have only seen footage on 1/ YouTube, 2/ Match of the Day and 3/ Football Manager, yet we struggle to associate the word with a true Liverpool Football Club great, who we see week in, week out.

The change in style of football, the turnaround in the playing squad, bringing down the average age etc. All these things are going against him and it's all happening pretty quickly.

The same change that Kuyt was pivotal in when we finished last season playing much better than we are this year?

Kuyt wasn't pivotal to the way we played last season and he is certainly struggling this season. He isn't going to survive past the summer. He's been great for us but I don't think he has role to play in Kenny's Liverpool.

It's Christmas, I'll not even bother.

                              Seasonal greetings.

Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
