If Kuyt is going to keep the level of the squad high then god help us!

He's first choice at the moment meaning he's better than anything else we have in that position. To keep the squad as strong as possible surely it's better to have the current best player we have in his position and someone better, rather than having someone better and someone worse.

Say we sign a new player (Player X) to play right midfield, surely it's better to have:

Player X as first choice and Kuyt as back up

Than

Player X as first choice and El Zhar as back up

Yes it might be preferable to bring in 2 new right midfielders but that's not going to happen IMO

Thats debatable. The point still remains, Kuyt is ****, even if there are other players ****ter than him, it doesn't doesn't make him any less ****.

He isn't **** though, you just constantly moan about him and offer him no credit even when he plays well, I mean he is so **** he just started a World Cup final and got us through to the next stage of the Europa League. You just don't know much about football.

We already have Suarez and I rather keep Maxi than Kuyt. I expect 2 wide players to come in summer.

one good game does not make him a great or generally usefull player, but it does make him the hero of the night

He's bloody handy to have in these big games though especially at the moment as not many others the past couple of seasons have stood up and been counted

Dirk is fantastic. He's a tremendous asset to our team and I wouldn't want him to be a squad player, unless we've got someone better than him which we don't have. It's going to take a special player to replace someone like him. It's not a fluke that he's been a fixture in Holland's squad as well as being one in Rafa's and Kenny's team. Much much underrated player.

Again Dirk shows he's a big game player. As much as people critisise him, and this often seems justified in games against the 'lesser sides' when the stakes are high he seems to deliver.

I'd like to see us get a more pacey, creative flair player for the right hand side but when it comes to the big games Dirk could threaten them for a place in the side.

The most important thing is to be good at football; everything else pales into insignificance. He's not worth his place in the team simply in terms of ability.

rafa benitez played to his strengths but kenny is asking him to do things that he just isnt capable of. he isnt gonna beat anyone, his passing is pretty poor and his crossing although not bad isnt brilliant either.

he's never been quick but i think his time has come to an end at anfield. if someone offers over £7m we shouls accept and move on.

as for cole he should be given a free transfer to spurs or west ham. he is ****ing crap.

Dirky reminds me of Craig Johnston, both of them just keep on running. Not perfect in any way but never give less than 100% and always offer something. Also a pain to play against.
