I love Dirk, but I would have to agree.

Again I'd also be inclined to agree. It'll be a sad day if and when he does leave.

Should've got rid last summer. Old guard well and truly being phased out.

It wouldnt be sad, hes a workhorse and has been a good servant but its not like hes done it for **** all is it? Sell him if we can get more than 5 million.

Also never ever call him a LFC legend, its a term used far too loosely over the past decade.

He looked pissed off coming on the other night, Dalglish was giving him orders but he didn't seem to pay much attention to them. At the same time he's a team player and if he's not being picked that's the manager's choice. Kuyt wouldn't kick up a fuss in the press like some players but you could visibly see his annoyance, probably more from embarrasment than anything I'd imagine seen as he's been a mainstay in our team down the years.

Feel sorry for him in a way because he is a big part of our team he's such a consistent performer. He may not be the most skiful but he has a lot to his game so I will be sad when he does leave.

I can't help but think his loss will be on a similar level to when Alonso left. People took him for granted while he was here and once he left most of us were distraught, only then did we realise how important he was.

I fear losing Kuyt may have the same effect.

I think he should play along Suarez upfront for the next 2 games, last season we hit our best form with them 2 up front and i hope they can repeat it again, although he does look a shadow of himself.

Never called him a legend but I'd be sad to see him go. Great bloke, great attitude, good player and loyal 'servant'.

                    I'm actually glad we didn't.

His level of experience is of tremendous value to our current squad and if used sporadically, as he is, he can still be very useful.

we need to show some respect here.

dirk has been a tremendous player for us during the benitez era. he did so many great things for this club and he deserves more than some of the comments on here. kenny has changed the system and it doesnt suit kuyt but theres nothing to say about him as a player.

if his time is up at anfield so be it but he has served us with the perfect attitude and application and should be remembered as a player of distinction.

Dirk. If only all players had his attitude football would be wonderful.

When its used for the likes of Biscan and Smicer (despite that goal), then yeah, sure. Even in Dirk's case, maybe. But the commitment and attitude of the guy on the pitch, along with him being just a generally standout character and a true role-model, do set him in a rare bracket of players, and he'll be remembered very fondly by many LFC fans for a long time I think. Rightly so.

                            This
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                            Mine angry and defrauded young?

The other day felt different watching him, not a bad day he just looked a bit shot. It's natural for a 31 year old who puts so much effort in to every game I suppose but still, hopefully its just a dodgy patch and he gives us a few more performances yet!

Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Derby's, CL, he's delivered in everything. Ashley Cole and that vile rat Evra will be especially glad to see the back of him if he goes anytime soon.
