There will be loooaaads of footballers who have these gagging orders! I heard the rumour that our very own sg had one, which is why there was so much conflict within the england camp at the world cup because he was doing exactly the same as terry who was sacked off as captain!???

Think the SG one was pretty baseless to be fair
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's all sorts of rumours about Gerrard, mostly started by the bitters and mostly bollocks

You mean the absolute horsehit about Gerrard making some 16 year old pregnant?? the rumour that went on long enough for her to actually conceive, carry full term then give birth to 2 seperate children???

Or do you mean the one about Gerrard shagging his wife's sister. Now that rumour was 100% true, everyone knew someone who knew someone who knew it was true, FACT.

Until it came out that Alex Curran hasn't got a sister
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Giggs has accused her of trying to blackmail him.

Surely she can sue for slander/libel if he's lying?

He didn't. The judge specifically said that the defendant had 'not used those words' - it was in fact the judge who said it sounded a lot like blackmail to him (albeit with the obviously necessary legal qualifications). So I don't think she/the Sun would be on very strong ground with that one.

I don't have a problem with a 'super-injunction' in principle, but the fact that it's only rich people who can afford them is so ****ing wrong. What's £50,000 got to do with right and wrong? Sickening.

It's just legal blackmail. Disgusting practice.

Thats exactly it and why the majority of us are sick of it. Its either a ruling for all or a ruling for none, no ifs no buts.

Imogen just needs to tell a few mates, who let it slip in the pub etc. There's no injunction against that and no reasonable expectation issues either. Once its in the public domain anyway the media can report that as speculation etc.

I don't understand how only one party in the incident has an expectation of privacy and the other doesn't, unless Imogen went to the Rag and disclosed it herself.

It seems crazy that the papers can report that two people had an affair; one is Imogen Thomas and we can tell you who the other one is. She's getting more attention now than she would have if they'd just named the guy in the first place, as all the attention would probably have been on him as he's obviously more high profile.
