I really don't understand this obsession with United and how great they and all theire signings have been. They were one of the worst teams ever to win the PL last year IMO and although they may have bought well this summer, I just don't see how they've strengthened. I think CM as you mentioned could be a problem for them, they seem a bit light in that department.

Even with Sneijder, Barca would have absolutely no bother destroying them again.

The way they played against City in the community shield was a world away from that - if they continue in that vein they will be more than the sum of their parts and they still have many of the best players in the division.

Quick short one touch passing combined with a very fluid front 4 - tactically very much like their last really good team with Ronaldo and Tevez. The movement and interchange was a different class to anything I saw them produce last season.

The only two worries for them were that both Anderson and Carrick evacuated the space in front of the back four (allowing City to create and shoot from there) and De Gea compounding this by being poor with long shots.

Think he meant a signing of that magnitude as a statement of intent.

If they get him, it'll make our buys this summer look like the lamp Benitez spoke of.

I think the weaknesses pointed out are far less problematic than those of the squads of the other top four teams. Fergie also has a record of integrating young players well.

Whether they will be anywhere near as good as Barcelona is another question. However, Gary Nevilles comments that they will be the nearest challengers no longer look as stupid as they did when he made them IMO.

Nothing like Veron, in my opinion.

He likes a tackle too and doesn't linger on the ball or need loads of time.

He'll be brilliant in the PL.

Sneijder likes a tackle? No he don't. That is why he only can play in an attacking position and not in central midfield. He is also very lazy and won't track back.

He will offer you a lot of creativity but you also need players to cover for him when he don't give a **** tracking back.

What I meant is that he should accept the move because he already at the end of his career and already won the Spanish league, Italian league, The CL with both Barcelona and Inter.

It is also so much money that you can't call it that he moves only because of the money. He would move because it would be crazy to turn down wages like that.

How many of the top class players out there would make a move like that? Almost everyone IMO. If they offered that kind of money to Suarez would he accept it? He would probably do that.

Arn, it is understandable that sometimes it is hard to understand what you say as English is your second language. But as a piece of advice, it would be a lot easier to understand what you say if you simplified what you were trying to tell us. You tend to go to a lot of detail to explain your posts which makes this confusing for us and probably harder for you.

I also heard some rumours that they would be prepared to pay Messi over £1m a week but there is no chance getting him.
