Telling you now, Shane Long would be like Chicharito at United. He wouldn't want to be on the bench, but won't kick up a fuss if he is. Won't demand huge wages, can smell a goal, is young, and won't be mad expensive! I think he'd be perfect to help Suarez and Andy with some goals!

He's nothing like Chicharito. Shane is already 24 and until this year he never scored more than 9 goals per season. He is exactly at the club of his caliber.

I still remember his childish tantrums when Reading were in PL few years back and he took off and threw the shirt away after being subbed.

In fairness pal, Torres wasn't exactly prolific before he joined Liverpool at a similar age and look how many he scored for us - not saying Long is in Torres' class, he never will be but at the same time you can't just make out that Long is at his level in the Championship and it's as if this is a one off season for him.

Long's always had great talent, and now that he's playing regularly he's scoring regularly - in seasons gone by, he wasn't always first choice.

As for this childish tantrum, meh, no big deal - from his interviews when with ROI, he always comes across as a nice lad.

Btw, i'm not saying we should sign Long. He's a big talent though.
