Exactly. He's the type of player that can make a difference to us from finishing top 4 or winning the title.
He's another player like Suarez, we need players of his class too.

If we rule out the money bit because as I said we don't have a clue about that then we are a very realistic option.
Dude. You should really try imagining you're not a Liverpool fan, just for a minute, then read some of your recent posts in this thread back to yourself. Grasping at straws doesn't even come close. There's nothing wrong with being optimistic, but if you don't limit your expectations slightly you'll always be disappointed. And if you always choose to believe in the most fantastical option possible then, well, reality is always going to seem very dull.

We basically do know who owns the club. We know who the leading players are in the day to day running of the club are, and we know their track record as owners of other sporting ventures. And we know what they've said. Now you could choose to ignore all that and fantasize about faceless parties with quadzillions to spend for no return, but if you were being sensible instead you'd look at how much we've already spent, look at the size of the squad and its deficiencies, at what Commoli has been saying, and at all the other actual evidence we have to hand, and realise that really, Aguero is not a very likely purchase for us right now. At all.

The thing Aguero said that it isn't about money almost rules out City. Why would he suddenly say that PL is an option now when City have been interested a long time? Sounds like they are not an option but another club in the PL is.
The hold up is cause Tevez deal is not dusted and delivered yet so they will not be putting an offer in unless he's off.

Brazilian transfer window will close tomorrow and then if Tevez leaves you will see the geniune interest coming from City.

At this point imo they are only showing an interest to see if Atletico and Kun will go for it if they do submit a bid.

Since when has Aguero become this utter elite talent any way? At £40m, he doesn't score enough and isn't creative enough to set up enough goals either IMO. Spending £40m on another forward is just bad business when we have a squad bigger than virtually every other team in the league!

We are a top class option for Aguero. The ONLY missing bit is that we don't play in the CL this season but we will most probably do that next season so that isn't a big problem.

We can offer him top class wages. We can offer him top class football, we can offer him living his dream playing at Anfield.

If we want him then we should be able to get him.

You never know, do you? Was Torres an elite talent who scored enough and created enough while he was at Atletico? Could be bad business, could also turn out to be ****ing fantastic premier league champions piss all over the mancs superduper.

Manchester City have agreed to pay out £38million for Atletico Madrid’s Argentina striker Sergio Aguero.

City have targeted the 23-year-old as the man to replace compatriot Carlos Tevez, and they finally agreed to match the release-clause figure in his contract. However, Tevez’s move to Corinthians was on the brink of collapse as the Brazilian transfer deadline loomed.

Aguero, who scored 20 goals in 32 games last season, had been holding out for an offer from Real Madrid but that looks unlikely with Jose Mourinho determined to sign Brazil forward Neymar.

City have offered Aguero, who is Diego Maradona’s son-in-law, £152,000 a week after tax, making him one of the highest-paid players in the world, and hope to have a decision by the end of the week. Atletico are keen to close the deal so they can find signings.

Tevez has gone on holiday in Europe as talks continue over his future. There is a small difference in the transfer payment terms between City and Corinthians and chances of a deal are fading. The deal has to be completed when the FA close for business on Wednesday, or Tevez will be left looking for a move to a European club.
