I don't honestly think I could justify putting Fowler in the top 10, probably even top 20, even though he was very talented. He'd be above Owen though.
No John Barnes? Or Emelyn Hughes? No Clemence? No McMahon? No Molby?

But your general point is taken. Fowler would not be in our top 20.

And its not just because of injuries. He was never a natural athlete and not the greatest trainer. At times his attitude was not what was required to get top the top like Dalglish.

As a player Dalglish was the best I have ever seen. But he worked as hard as anybody as well.

It wasn't an exhaustive list. I just named a few off the top of my head. I thought of all those and some more. But I was thinking by then, at which point I realised the sheer vacuity of the exercise.

I seem to remember Fowler worked pretty hard in games. But yes, everything I've heard is he was lax in training. Mind you, far too many were at the time.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

              he'll join a premiership club.

Most likely imo Spurs as they desperately need a striker. They pay huge wages for forwards that do nothing, he is english. So he fits the bill. Or he will go to villa.

They need a striker alright, but not an injury prone, slow and unfit one.

Any Premier League side would be mad to take Owen.

Can see why they'd be tempted to take the risk, but he's a spent force and you'd imagine he'd be after big wages.

your right, no top side would touch him.

Could see him at QPR next year.

Funnily enough i've always thought Owen would end up there, boyhood fan and all that

The wee ****er would jump at the chance to rub our noses in it even more.

Everton would complete the cycle of cuntishness for him since leaving Liverpool.

If he wasn't such a **** it'd be quite sad how his career has gone,he's been in semi-retirement since he left us really.

Wouldn't give a **** about him going to the Bitters. He's already done the most cuntish of all things and it was just pathetic rather than infuriating and hurtful.
                                3rd place. Worst champions ever.
