Thanjk you.

He was exceptional. Almost certainly the best English player of his generation.
I do wonder how different his reputation would have been if he had played for another club though. His tackling was so bad - if he played for a team with a reputation like Wolves with referees he would have barely made it through most games.

He wouldn't have played for a club like Wolves for very long. His talent pretty much demanded that he play at the highest levels of the game.

That's fair comment. Although I suspect at any team but United over the period he was there (including other top teams) he would have had a lot more problems. Ferguson's influence in the PL did a lot to help him.
Although, fair play to him Scholes did seem to be able to reign it in in the CL.

Definitely one of the best of his generation. He was a fantastic finisher too. When you get players like Henry saying that he's the best player he played against in the prem you have to take note. He couldn't tackle, thats well documented but take nothing away from the mans talent. Great player.
No more chuckling commentators and pundits laughing away at "another Scholesy challenge" highlighting his immense inability to tackle.
Class midfielder, utter ****house as has been said but technically top notch. Fergies house is breaking up. As has been posted seedy Giggs will be next. Losing VDS, Ratboy, Scholes, Giggs and more will mean some big rebuilding. I tried to tell my cocky scum supporting friend that replacing these influential players will be hard. I was of course met with "nah Fergie will get whoever he wants Sneijder, De Gea, blah blah" Errmm you do realise your lot have no money? was my reply. Clowns
One of the most intelligent players around. Quiet and unassuming type who always played the game the way it should. He'll leave a massive void in United's midfield as I don't think they'll replace him quickly.
