Great player, I'm suprised he's decided to go now, I thought he'd have stayed for one more season.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Great footballer that was limited by his tackling ability.

Was disappointing he retired from England duties quite early, but prolonging his domestic career he certainly can't have to many regrets.

Never had an agent, always said he never needed one, was once a guest for Sunday dinner at my parents house. My sister invited him when he was a young reserve, when my dad found out he ****ed off to the pub, said he didn't want to meet him. My sis didn't speak to my dad for a month. I bought him a pint for standing by his principles.

            True Story.

Always liked Scholes, in a sea of Nicky Butts, Nevilles and Fergies a shining example of not letting your environment turn you into a ****. So he couldn't tackle, neither could Maradonna, his best years came as a 2nd striker and that's where he should have stayed. Top, Top player, humble and a good ambasador for the game.

I just want to say the cliche thing everybody keeps saying: he was a fantastic player, one of the best ever - up there with the likes of Pele, Maradona, Zidane, and Jason Lee. But he couldn't tackle.

I just saw a clip on LFC TV of the game against the Scum. Scholes ran up acting the big hard man after Carragher had flattened Nani. Kuyt ran up to him, kind of went to smack him but obviously didn't - Scholes **** himself

The Utd empire is starting to crumble now chaps, this is the beginning of the end for those monkeys.

Oh, he was a quality player and will be massively missed.
