Mancienne is a CB. And i've no idea how he gets a game in midfield. Henderson showed plenty of energy but little else, only annoying thing though was how Spain managed to run of him so easily.

Only expected that England wouldn't stand a chance against a quick passing team like Spain.

As I said in another thread. It is all down to how much the referees allow. The football pitches are so much better now that teams like Spain will simply out pass you if you are not quick and technical enough.

Times have changed and England need to change or be left behind. We paid a lot of money for Henderson and he is probably one of the best English youth team talents. Compare him to the best Spanish youth team talents and he don't stand a chance.

What also need to change is the coaching. Let the players play and show their skill instead of making it to complicated. So what if they make mistakes. The Spanish players make mistakes but they are at least allowed to try.

Henderson was awful and if he hadn't signed for us we would have said so. But this isn't the competition where the cream rises to the top. Previous stars have included Babel, Milner, etc. The true test kicks in with a club that you play with day in, day out.
