He's certainly much less likeable than he appeared when he arrived (and when seen from afar at Porto). But then he is a Mourinho protégé.

Absolutely, the minute the pressure was on he showed his true colours.

Found it really interesting that he belittled Gary Neville while at the same time claiming Neville should have respect for a Brazilian international (his comments about David Luis). He also spat his dummy out about several commentators and journalists which to me is a clear sign of his lack of maturity and spoilt brat behaviour.

Can't stand the guy, he's been in management 5 minutes yet feels that he is above criticism.

I was thinking about Neville's comments on Luiz - would we have been as complimentary as we have been so far about his punditry if he'd said something in that style about one of our players? Whether or not everyone agrees, it's certainly fair comment to say Luiz lacks defensive discipline but it wasn't strictly necessary to use such a colourful turn of phrase. It's more entertaining for us of course but then Luiz isn't our player.

It's like Suarez has certainly gone to ground easily on occasion - if Neville described him as 'routinely plummeting to Earth like a dying duck', or whatever, then we might find him less amusing.

I don't think it sounds necessarily like he was upset by it though. To me it sounds like a journalist asked the question hoping to get a rise. It's the sort of thing that happened with Rafa all the time. AVB and Chelsea are the current easy target, and hence everything is getting micro analysed.

While there may well be a power struggle there is a lot of (as PC Plod points out Arn like) interpretation going on there. Surely it's not a set in stone idea how important different managers feel penalty takers are? Lampard didn't start so it makes sense that he wasn't first choice penalty taker when the match started.
