He was linked with pretty much every club under the sun (including us) and given his recent comments about no going anywhere for little while and Chavs heavily linked with Guus, it's surprising twist of events...

This one came from nowhere and very good move for Chelsea. I can see him bringing at least 2 in Falcao, Hulk and Moutinho for next season.

It was supposed to be Hiddink who wanted him back from what I heard. My suspicion is that a lot of what we have heard has been ill-informed bull****.

I'm glad he's gone there in a way. He could be absolutely amazing, or he could fail terribly. There are a lot of big egos at Chelsea, and he will be under immense pressure to deliver straight away. This will make things very interesting!

I'd like to see what all the hype is about.

I’ve nothing to base it on, but I think he’s gonna set his career back a few years by taking this job and will have to rebuild his reputation once he leaves. It's going to be hard for any team to take the CL off Barca and the PL is going to be very competitive next year.

Depends on how ambitious Clarke *really* is. He's won it all at Chelsea, now he's got the chance to prove himself again at Liverpool. A step back in to the shadows at Chelsea is not a progressive move IMO

No he did'nt win it all, infact Chelsea have'nt yet won the trophy their owner most craves, their 'Holy Grail' so to speak.

I'd like to think he'd stay given the choice, but i would'nt be sure, but i agree winning the Prem with Liverpool would be bigger than winning the Champions league with the Chavs, but that's me....not sure about what Clarke would think though, or how close he feels to Chelsea as a club.
