Messi never got into the game same with Tevez

Banega adn Lavezzi were crap

DiMaria and Aguero really livened up the pitch once they got on.

Mascher was boss. My MOM. The only argentinian that was consistent through out the game

Should have kept cambiasso on and took banega off instead.

Need to find a way to get messi into the game.

Marcelo Moreno was very good for bolivia, despite blowing a 1 on 1. He led the line alone and was 1 against 4 often but held the ball up very well. Very impressed by him tonight

Not sure why Argentina want Messi to be Xavi instead of Messi; get a playmaker behind him! (ok, Xavi is asking too much but still) The same as Maradona's system; he is picking up the ball way too deep. He is running at defenders, sure, but not at the top of the box where he is lethal. Banega/Mascherano/Cambiasso is a little conservative, no? Argentina need a box to box type asap.

they don't have one. they just need to replace banega with an attacking player and **** will happen for them. fine having mascher and cambiasso together as that allows the fullbacks to push forward. Although they need a proper left back.

They don't have the squad to play 4-3-3 but do it anyway If you play 4-3-3 then you must have a quality midfield playmaker.

Play 4-2-3-1 and you don't need that nearly as much as you do in a 4-3-3.

Thought Batista got it wrong yet again. Anyone here who continues to call for Banega & Lavezzi need their heads read. They showed tonight they're just not as good as some people believe them to be, they don't have the end product.
Why Higuain & Aguero are on the bench at the expense of Lavezzi & Tevez is crazy to me, even Pastore should have got a run of at least 20 mins. I thought Messi did get into the game with some incredible dribbling at times - but Bolivia had a packed defense of 6 at times - and there were constant fouls on him as well.
Maradona should never have been fired, he had them playing some really exciting football at the WC, whereas Batista is far tooo conservative and picks the wrong players - why is Cambiaso still in the team??!

Maradona was a disaster as a manager, playing Messi way too deep and taking him away from goal and choosing VERON FFS over Cambiasso, who was coming off of bossing the midfield in the CL Final. The minute Argentina came up against a world class team, they went down in flames because they were exposed as having no steel in the midfield and a mess at the back.
