That ball he punched away was dipping down sharply. Catching that could of been bad so he fisted it away to the side. I think everyone forgets how they feel when Reina is in goal during high balls, especially corners.

So very harsh. I think he's done as well as you can expect from a reserve keeper.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostOn the whole he's done alright but IMO there isn't a worse keeper in the league. I'd replace him personally. Can't be absolutely ****ting ourselves every time the ball goes near our no.2 keeper. Question is who's ****ting it more....the fans or Jones himself.

I'm more worried that someone of that standard is that close to our first team. Its frightening to think that he is supposedly the second best keeper at the club - I can't recall lfc ever being that weak in a position. He looks like an outfield player filling in when there are no subs left after the number one has been sent off.

Who was the young Aussie keeper that we played against recently? He did well that day against us.Originally posted by Resu View PostWith the number of young goalkeepers we`ve bought in recent years there must be someone close to stepping up. Anybody knows who`s rated amongst the kids?Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Look at other number twos....Friedel, Lindegaard, Harper, Mannone etc. At least they look like professional keepers rather than someone who's won a competition to keep goal for a Premier League team. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Both Friedel and Lindegaard has been starters for their teams this season, and are at least one cut above Jones. We could go for a player like Friedel (old and in need of cash), but I guess players like Lindegaard (in their prime) won`t go to us. Harper and Monne I don`t have clue about.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post

Its hardly **** slinging. He is not good enough. He did ok yesterday and we didnt concede from silly mistakes by him. But that doesnt mean he is exempt from criticism. He just isn't good enough to play for Liverpool, or in a Premier League team at all for that matter.*Except Michael, who died.

I'd like to hear someone name a worse keeper.
Luckily it's not a big deal cos he's only back up but he patently isn't 'as good as we can expect', most if not all no.2s in the PL are a lot better than him. Hopefully Reina will be back next week. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Ross Turnbull. Worst professional goalkeeper ever.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI'd like to hear someone name a worse keeper.

As for Jones yesterday, there's no way he, or any other keeper, could have held on to Bale's shot in the first half or Dembele's in the 2nd.
Overall he did well but he needs to learn when to play it short and when to go long- something that only comes with playing games.
