The football writers and the Players Player are the only ones worth bothering about and they are voted for, so it's hardly unfair. It just is what it is. If you don't win it, then obviously not enough players in the league voted for you. Where is the injustice?

I'd be interested to see who the City Players do vote for, I suspect few if any vote for our players.

What are people's views on putting up statues to players who have barely left the club?

I'm not having a pop at City in particular but it seems a bit soon and evaluate his contribution a while after he's left. I'm not saying that will necessarily change their decision but it just seems odd to me. I don't doubt that he's a City legend, has been one of their best players throughout their success but surely they should also have one for Kompany and Aguero, possibly Yaya Toure too, if that's a case, in a few years do they add de Bruyne, Sterling etc where does it end?
