Manuel Pellegrini ""Next season we won't have any restrictions LINKOriginally posted by ChrisDR1968 View PostCan they afford to do that with FFP in mind remembering they've already been fined pretty heavily for breaching the spending limit recently?
They could have a major rebuilding project on this summer with a new manager in charge and much less money than in previous close seasons.
If by a miracle we scrape 4th (I don't think we will though) the only team we'd deserve to sneak in instead of is Man City as they're the only one of the top 4 we've beaten this season.
And the same applies to Chelsea

Absolutely relentless and completely stupid. Thats even worse than your "I believe everything Liverpoolrumours.co.uk tells me"

Logic would suggest they'd have a financial restriction of some sort so Pellegrini can say what he likes. I doubt he'll be there at the start of next season either.
As for us we'd be mad to sell them Sterling or Henderson (or both) as City are easily the most vulnerable of the big 4 right now
Both are under contract next season so unless big offers come from abroad they should stay here imo.

Totally agree about Moores but I really don't think a rich hungry owner, who is ready to spend big* would signal the death of the club we love. If anything it would bring back those glorious times.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostThe point about United is that they built their empire on their success and thus deserve what they have. The same goes for arsenal. These two clubs have done it the right way and have not needed a sugar daddy. They have won on the pitch and reaped the rewards that brings.
Unlike those two mongrels currently acting like big clubs.
The only way we will be able to come close is to either get s billionaire owner which would be the death of the club we love. Or FSG get rid of their wage structure and pay the wages the top players want.
Ultimately David Moores was far too busy quaffing champers, travelling to away games on the team bus and modelling himself on Freddie Boswell from bread, to even consider moving our club forward and when the penny finally dropped he was 10 years to late and even ****ed that up when he sold the family silver. I blame him and him alone for the position this club is in. When it comes to making the tough decisions the old "It's not the Liverpool way" chestnut was used as an excuse for failure.
Unfortunately the Liverpool way died when sir John Smith stepped down and Freddie Boswell took over.
*Spend big within the FFP guidelines that would be stretched and conned the same way PSG and City have been doing."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Sure they may have not had a sugar daddy but once they hit success they outspent everyone in the league until the sugar daddies showed up to even things up.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostThe point about United is that they built their empire on their success and thus deserve what they have.
