Seems to me that the PL have made a lot of these problems for themselves by not having an appropriate initial due diligence process on prospective owners and being slow to act when it was obvious to everyone else there was potentially something amiss. They need to take lessons from this.Really?

They've waited 5 years to bare their teeth? I think you are being somewhat kind to both parties.Originally posted by Alex View PostI think the stuff around the white paper is probably a distraction. This is the PL showing the Government they have teeth and dont need a regulator. But it doesnt mean the same charges wouldnt probably apply.Really?

That's how they get around it !The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I live in hope that details like this will trigger an HMRC investigation into tax evasion. Once they get involved the PL will have to grow a backbone and deal with the doping otherwise every clubs finances & the PL’s own will be under scrutiny.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostCertainly fails the market rate sniff test, what with them paying more for four days that the market (Man City job) pay for a year.We are here for a good time not a long time....

City's owners. if it really were City then it would have gone through the books, and wouldn't be a problemOriginally posted by Deano View PostBut City paid the consultancy fee !The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

This was actually part of my thinking, Johnson and Co are earning much more from giving a short speech than they earn from their day job...Originally posted by S-RED View PostTHey could point to B Johnson/Blair, even May getting £250-300k for an after dinner speech as evidance that its the going rate......... hahahahaThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Their day job pay isn’t derived from a free market rate, it’s determined by parliament. And they’re being paid because of their status, not for doing their regular line of work. And they’re ex world leaders, not a guy who managed inter Milan.Last edited by Kenneth; 11-02-23, 12:23 PM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

The state of this cunt
2-0 and you dive for a pen against your boyhood club.
Should probably be added to the list of VAR fails for the weekend.
