I’m not sure there is pisstake tbh, just ‘**** arsenal’.
It's both but I think that misses the point. Calling them participants as if they didn't have a chance is exactly the same as saying the same about our near misses. We can't have it both ways
It's Arteta for me and the diving and simulation he's instilled into that side; I mean you only need to look at Saka these days and he's on the floor screaming in pain.
I don't mind Arsenal as a club, it's Arteta who comes across as a classless, agro, toxic prick. I'm glad they didn't win because of him but they have a great side in fairness. It's just easier when City win because nobody really cares, it's kind alike meh they won again so what.
I'd take city winning it over practically anyone one else if it's not us. But that's a sad indictment of our league
Think if we look past Arteta and his weird/plastic leanings, then we should be seeing Arsenal as another properly run club missing out because of financial doping elsewhere.
Like you I don't really get the piss taking this season as we took the piss last season and called them bottlers, yet this season when things were in our own hands we went on to do worse than what they did in the run in last season.
Tribalism in footy is probably the biggest thing in favour of clubs like 115 FC and Saudi Castle FC.
The fans of other clubs are quick to cut down whoever the latest club to fail to over take the cheats.
Any of the seasons we came second we complained that other clubs were enabling the cheat even further by laughing at us, now we are doing the same things ourselves two seasons in a row when Arsenal came up short.
If anything the clubs that run the dopers close should be getting lauded and the Cheats just treated as back ground noise.
Again I feel that this is how City have warped football, us and Arsenal are 2 properly run clubs and it should have been a title race between us and them, which ultimately they would have won, we should probably now be developing a rivalry like the Arsenal Man Utd one of the 90's. And while we might dislike them there isn't that fierce rivalry that there might have been, because City are there as a buffer. We are in the bizarre situation where us and Arsenal both hate City more than each other but both want City to win the league over the other because we see their success as meaningless compared to the achievement that it would be for the other to overcome City.

Or is it a case that they were so bad for a chunk of the season that when they finally started beating teams, mostly from the bottom half of the table, that achieving results that normally would simply be expected of them looks better than it is?
Parking the bus against city (when they celebrated the draw like a win) was a fatal mistake. We went after everyone, never did we play for a draw and if you want to succeed as underdogs (which everyone but city is in the PL now) then you have to believe that you can win every game and play like it, not do the maths and do what you think is enough.
It will be interesting to see how they get on physically next year. That’s two intense seasons without major injuries and we’ve seen the physical toll that it can take.
For all of Arsenal's good effort in pushing the financial dopers all the way it can't be escaped they have been absolutely happy to play a rapist all season
I'm expecting Chelsea to come good as they looked the business lately, a couple of smart recruits in defence then they will be smoking.
