Yep, great post. It is unprecedented. Ridiculous levels combined with ridiculous consistency. And can only be achieved in such a tough league with ridiculous amounts of cheatingOriginally posted by Doc_Piptorious View PostI know you are talking about that particular period of time and not the entire season, but it just reminded me of how others, on other forums, the media etc, have been trying to make out that City were so so this season.
They are one win away from another 90+ point season.
Is just nuts how high the bar has been set for points tallies by City's doping.
Us and Arsenal regularly putting up the sort of points tallies that would easily have won leagues not so long ago.
Plus us, and most likely Arsenal in a season or two, then showing that when a doped club reaches those highs for a few seasons in a row that it takes a tool and there is then a reset season or two needed where standards drop off before going again another season, whereas a doped club has no natural dips at all.
The closest thing to City having a dip was the season we won the league and they still finished on 81 points that season and 15 points clear of third place. So their "dip" is still very close to a title winning tally.
Just looking at their points tallies from the past seven season from the 2017/2018 season to this one.

and currently on 88 with a game to go.
The 81 point season being when we won it and they came second.
It is just so steady and the seasons where they do not have a team chasing them hard they seem to cruise a bit more and put more focus onto the cups.
Our own point tallies for the same seven seasons.

Mad to think (assuming City win at the weekend) they have had 4x 90+ point seasons in the last 7 and have won 6 titles, we have had 3x 90+ point seasons and have won 1

Arsenal's luck with the opposition's star players dropping out the week they're playing them is unparalleled.
