man i know were in the proper **** last year - but ****ing hell...arsenal! just fallen apart here

only really themselves to blame....they should have had the money spent (if they've got it? ) already for their replacements - Hazard, another centre mid, a centre half, a keeper and a striker...... - they should have had those signings done and dusted....

they've got what....8 days to try and pull something out the hat....
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

they still have the pull to get a big player imo. But having said that in 4 days time if they are out of the CL and in the relagtion zone 8pts behind Scum you might be right!!!

They wont be happy that a few million of the fee will be going to Marseille, according to a French journo on the radio

So Suarez couldnt play for us in the Europa league bewause he played for Ajax in the CL but could play for City in Champions League even if he has played for Arsenal.

Seems an odd rule, Cup tied in Domestic competitions is for the season, not till the other club is knocked out!

I think its clear to see they didnt have it in the bank all the transfers out have been known for months, Think they need to get money in before they buy.

But with stage payments etc ( although city probably paid in full ) will be interesting to see how much they spend.

Both Spurs and Arsenal look truly ****ed this year.

I can imagine Arsenal got nearer the fee they wanted, as apposed to City paying their valuation. Arsenal obviously said they'd play him tonight and to be fair, it's worked a treat.

But Arsenal do look like Man City's feeder club.

Or Man City have indirectly funded Arsenal's stadium.

We slowly fell apart over the course of a few seasons (Alonso, Arbeloa, Riera, Benayoun, Mascherano and Torres). Arsenal have lost three first teamers and two star players in the space of a few months.

Can't see Wenger going out and spending £20m+ on a player either. He's not done it since the days of Wiltord and Henry (and they didn't cost mega money), so I can't see him doing it now.

If we don't get fourth this year then something is seriously wrong.

                    Don't be.

The transfer window is not closed yet and they can sign some pretty good players that are still possibly available like Hazard, M'vila, Jagielka, Zarate etc.

If they sign those they will be difficult to beat and they will be in the mix for 4th spot.

Really? They're a football club who've lost a couple of their best players and a crap left back, its not like they're about to go under!

I don't think we're as ****ed as Arsenal, we've only potentially lost one player. Okay we still need to strengthen our strike force, but it looks as though Diarra and Ade are close to being done deals.

If Modric stays, bucks his attitude up and we sign Diarra, Ade/another striker I think we could potentially still push for forth.

However, if Modric leaves 5th is as best as I can wish for, assuming we don't replace him/strengthen. I said at the beginning that's where we'll finish this year, but the rate Arsenal are going, I think they'll be lucky getting in Europa.

Because it's the anniversary of your birth, you have a more sympathetic view.

Have a great birthday, but nah - I don't feel sorry for them.

I think they'll be our main rivals, and it won't be easy finishing ahead of them, not at all.

Frimpong is apparently the nephew of someone the backoffice lads here used to work with when they were downstairs. The bloke was on about him 5 years ago. Apparently.
