Surely not. Losing to Birmingham that time was bad and it surely can't happen again. They'll beat Wigan but Hull wouldn't be without a chance in the final...not that I can see Arsenal blowing it again.

I sort of hope they win the FA Cup - it'll keep them believing their squad doesn't need strengthening again. A nice 4th place/FA Cup will suit me just fine if we finish 1st/2nd/3rd and we reinforce again in the summer.Comment

It won't bother me too much if they win it. They'll be expected to win both matches, so will be hard for the fans to get excited about, so even if they win it's a bit meh, but if they lose it will be hilarious.
A bit like our CC win under Kenny, the semi against City seemed a much bigger occasion than the final against Cardiff and because we were expected to win easily, I found it hard to get too carried away in the build up.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?Comment

i'm pleased arsenal went through mainly because i am so glad to see everton go out...
my god the thought of everton beating arsenal and then seeing city lose to wigan!! jesus wept the blue noses would already be celebrating with only Wigan and one of Hull/Sheff Utd standing in their way of glory after 19 years 
ideally i wanted arsenal vs everton draw - to just give both something extra to think about, an extra tough game to take a bit more out of the legs, with arsenal scraping through - plus i'd have prefered city to have gone through as well - again for the same reasons - another distraction, another tough game to think about.
but as it is - this isn't that bad a scenario.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i doComment
