Not sure if that’s in reply to me, but I was trying to say that Wenger did want him. If he’d stayed in Britain he mightn’t have met the contacts that helped make the deal happen, so he might have missed out, but the opportunity arose when he was abroad so he went for it.

That’s his version anyway, even if it’s a bit far-fetched.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Eh? You sure you're not interpreting it incorrectly? He went to meet the pope didn't he, and obviously that was much less likely to be happening in London.

I don't think the pope has contacts in Danny Welbeck's camp although I might be wrong.

Haha, it would be in my work history. Can't even remember what I might have been reading.

You'd better get back to work then to find us the link or it didn't happen.

Haha, maybe it didn't, can't find a mention of it anywhere.

I'll post the article on Monday, but having just read a load more, the gist is still the same, he wanted to sign Welbeck. Only difference being, the Pope maybe didn't broker the deal.

@henrywinter: Wenger: “Jack Wilshere has turned his ankle”. No indication whether serious. #afc

Some geezer on Talksport tearing into Ozil a moment ago.

                  He had a point, too.

Dortmund absolutely blitzed them, should have been a hammering. Defies logic how Merty is still playing at such a high level.

Merson was on Sky Sports and said,

'Arsenal are a Gillion miles away from winning the league. A Gillion miles'.

You don't hear the word Gillion much outside of Man U transfer negotiations.

He did if you don't count the other 42 appearances

                              edit: league only.
