That they did on deadline day this year, then never mentioned it again

            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

A ticket only cost around €1. He spends a lot on wages and buying players.

If they finish in a CL place then they will be thrown out because tickets only cost around €1.

Is that fair? He want everyone to be able to watch his team and some great players but if he want his team to play in the CL then he must up ticket prices. That will mean that everyone won't be able to watch them. The genuine football fans that now can afford to watch them won't be able to do it.

The reason? The so called fair play rules.

              Fair? Yeah right

I didnt realise there was a minimum ticket price. I assume its so UEFA can take a slice of it for themselves.

From what I understand Arn is saying that with tickets so low they will sell out a lot?

I could see a lot of touting (sp?) happening. People buying tonnes of tickets at $1 each when its a sell out and selling them on for 20 times more or higher.

What Arn is saying is that with tickets at just €1, there's no way the club could generate enough revenue to comply with UEFA's FFP rules.

I dont think UEFA will actually enforce FFP myself, but we'll see.

Ohh right. They should just spend millions to start some really profitable business and put it under the portfolio of the company! Is that legal?

I think you know the answer to that one.

And anyway, if you spend millions, the chances of that business being profitable are reduced.

The rules arent 'fair play rules' Arn, they are 'Financial Fair Play Rules' - meaning that it's unfair for a billionaire to just buy success, without the club having generated/earnt the money itself.

They are not 'ethic fair play fules'.

You know full well that for a billionaire to buy trophies isnt really fair play in the context of competition.

Ahhh ok I get it now. I thought there was some sort of minimum price rule.

Its true what he says though. But this is a weird case. They will have to graft for a few years to generate the money they need to sustain themselves.

So Eto'o is on €300k a week there, with tickets prices at €1 they better have the world's biggest stadia to fill every other week....
